Rostyle wheels back on

Interceptor, SP, FF

I've finally managed to get my Rostlye wheels back on the Interceptor. It's been a long journey, somewhat due to other projects I had taken on over past 18 months. The wheels came with the car, but after a lot of research, tracking down previous owners, confirmed they hadn't been on the car since the first owner. Don't want to count the labour, no wonder most wheel places refuse to take on Rostyle work.

This is how they came. Had a lot of surface rust and paint was peeling off

Spent many hours cleaning with vinegar and aluminium foil. Then stripped off paint using thinners

Masking wheels up was no small job. Went through many blades

Painting was the easy bit

Ordered new medallions, although I have an original set. Colour not exactly a match

It's a challenge to clip a new spring in. Finally worked out I needed a small set of locking pliers

Wheels on car for the first time in ~30 years
