Mk 1 JH timing belt tensioner adjusting wrench

by chrisl » Wed Jul 16, 2014 2:38 am

Dear all

Am finally getting my Mk1 JH back on the road after a layoff. So far so good.

I am trying to track down an adjusting wrench for the timing belt tensioner for the Mk 1 motor. It's a bit of a specialised tool, a 38mm flat spanner that has a 90 degree angle at its head in order to get behind the bearings.

In hindsight should have converted to the Mk2 setup, but hindsight is a perfect science...

If you have one lying around I'd be happy to buy it!

Well, the answer was of course to upgrade to the MK2 tensioner setup, but in the course of my travels I have now got a tensioner wrench for the Mk1 cam belt.

Happy to lend to anyone in need; coming from WA it is of course Boomerang Brand:
