SP heading east

by chrisl » Sat Oct 07, 2017 1:32 pm

One of our members over here sadly passed away recently and his widow put his SP up for sale.

Another member, Mark Skinner kindly volunteered to help her with the sale which has now been concluded and the car has gone to a new home in the east.

I tagged along to help Mark shift it up to Perth; he deserves a big thanks for taking time out of his very busy life to lend a hand to someone in need of a bit of help.

I'd post a few pics but dropbox seems to have stopped working for me...

Could tell you right now who owns the SP, but you have to respect the guys privacy. And until he announces it thats how it should be. He's a forum user that's for sure.

So he's a user on this forum.

Well, it isn't me.

Now if everyone replies in a similar fashion, we can work out who it is by the process of elimination

Seriously Stoo, your restoration progress in the last JChat is simply stunning, and the photo documentation shows what a great job he is doing (it does seem like 2 steps forward, one step back at times)!

It reminded me of the work that my painter did all of those years ago. You have a good chap working on your car, and I can see that you understand the hours and the work that he's putting into it, which a lot of people don't these days. Bodywork is one of those funny stages where you just seem to be spending $$$'s for little result, and voila, everything is painted.

Should look stunning when everything comes back together - that's another long and tedious process (but the drain in funds shouldn't be too bad if you DIY, plus you can control the speed / progress).
