hello

All I know is that there is one coming. The owner is giving me a taste of my own medicine and telling me information a tiny bit at a time.

Did this car #16 ever arrive? Do you mean Basil's J-H? I can add the J-H of John King to the list of known cars now too.

The Mathinna cars have just been purchased by Mike Larkin and will be in Hobart soon. Let's hope he finishes the white one. The wreck is to be stripped of anything useful then scrapped. I am still not sure of the chassis number of that car, or where it came from. Mike sent me some further photos of the car and it is not a pretty sight.

An old list I found that had been prepare by Alan Belle listed the white one as having been owned by a Terry Robinson, and was filed under "Used to be here"...

Pretty sure that the white Mathinna car was owned by the owner of the Sands hotel at Bicheno before being bought by the guy at Mathinna who was a miner with an eye for nice cars but who was not that interested in their storage or maintenance.

According to my records from 1995 the Sands guy had a J-H, not an Interceptor.

Ok, I would place a lot more weight in your records than my memory of what I think someone (who I can't remember) told me at a time that I can't really remember about a car that I have never seen. ;) please disregard my last post.
